It’s no secret that there is a prominent digital divide between urban and rural businesses in Indiana. At IFN, the name of the game is closing this gap – by providing businesses all over the Hoosier state with fast, reliable fiber connectivity. We hope that the installation of fiber-ready sites will ramp up rural business productivity throughout the state.
If you’ve followed along on our recent blog posts, you’ve seen how we moseyed down to Hamilton County, made our way through Tipton County, and more. Now, we’re ready to highlight another well-deserving Indiana community, Marion County.
Serving in the center of the state, these five sites have high-bandwidth internet services and low costs, making them efficient for new businesses in the surrounding area. IFN has put in a $22.25 million capital investment into the area since its founding in 2002. In Marion County alone, there are currently 2450 buildings located near the IFN fiber-optic backbone. Any of these surrounding businesses can connect to the fiber that has been installed – that’s 446 miles of fiber!
The following locations in Marion County are fiber-optic ready:
Indy Telcom Center
- 701 W Henry St
Lifeline Datacenters
- 401 Shadeland Ave
- 733 Henry St.
Ameriplex
- World Connect
- Purdue Research Park
“We are excited about the ever-growing amount of fiber and high-speed connectivity being provided to those in Marion County,” said IFN CEO Jim Turner. “Intelligent Fiber Network is committed to serving Indiana, and we do so by making sure every business, no matter how big or how small, is well-connected.”
Stay tuned next time as we travel around the Hoosier state and examine the latest fiber-optic ready sites. Interested in installing fiber at your organization? Contact us at 317-280-4636 or by email at info@intelligentfiber.com.
