Stevie winners will be presented their awards on June 11 in New York
Intelligent Fiber Network (IFN), a leader among Indiana’s commercial fiber broadband providers, was named the winner of a Gold Stevie® Award in the Achievement in Management – Internet/New Media category in The 17th Annual American Business Awards® today.
More than 3,800 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Live Event of the Year, and App of the Year, among others. Intelligent Fiber Network was honored for their leadership team’s work rebranding the company (previously known as Indiana Fiber Network) while guiding the company to maintain ongoing infrastructure projects, delivering 99.999% network uptime, and increasing visibility and sales throughout the region.
“We are honored that our leadership team has been recognized for our work over the last year, but it’s the dedication and commitment to great customer service that our entire staff brings to work every day that truly gives meaning to our new branding,” said IFN CEO Jim Turner. “Across the board, our team and company are dedicated to the customer experience, and this award is a humbling but affirming recognition to cap off an exciting phase for IFN.”
In 2018, IFN announced plans to invest up to $100 million over the next five years in Indiana, as well as a multi-year, multi-million-dollar network upgrade across the state. The upgrades and investments increase capacity, improve stability, and add operational and network efficiency; all of which are geared toward enhancing the customer service experience. The second phase of this upgrade project began in the first quarter of 2019.
This Gold Stevie® Award comes on the heels of nearly $13 million in equity investment funding from IFN’s existing independent local exchange company owners and one new owner: Wabash Valley Power (WVPA). This funding helps position IFN to continue expanding and deepening its high-speed fiber network – giving the company access to new customers and extending fiber to new areas – while also making investments in network upgrades to ensure reliability, stability and scalability for the future.
“The nominations submitted to The 2019 American Business Awards were outstanding. They illustrate the continued vibrancy of innovation and high level of achievement across the American economic landscape,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.
