Intelligent Fiber Network (IFN) continues to expand and would like to announce two promotions: Cory Childs and Chris Hoover. Childs is promoted to Director of Sales, and Hoover has moved into the position of Manager of Service Assurance.
Cory Childs, of Fishers, IN, joined IFN in July of 2007 as an Account Manager. His role included leading direct, and channel sales efforts which resulted in doubling IFN’s Enterprise sales revenue goals. Childs’ efforts also secured accounts to several high-profile healthcare networks and expanded into high growth areas such as Carmel, Fort Wayne, and Warsaw, Indiana.
As Director of Sales, Childs will manage IFN’s sales efforts. His focus includes expanding current business opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and seeking further service offerings. Childs will report to August Zehner, VP of Sales and Marketing.
“I’m excited to have Cory step up and lead our sales team,” said Zehner. “We love to see our team members grow within IFN, and Cory has demonstrated the management leadership skills to help IFN achieve the next phase of our sales growth”.
Chris Hoover, of Shelbyville, IN, started his career with IFN in 2016. Starting as a NOC Engineer, Hoover worked on service, configuration, management, and troubleshooting throughout the IFN network for telecommunication and enterprise businesses. Later, Hoover moved to the service assurance team, continuing his duties from the NOC position while also designing and deploying new and existing services to business customers, and acting as internal IT support on network upgrades and end user support.
In his new role of Manager of Service Assurance, Hoover will manage a team of Network Engineers with the main focus of transitioning a network service from design to deployment with an added emphasis on managing the customer’s experience. Hoover will also focus on customer-facing services, providing change, configuration and release management of the service lifecycle. Hoover will report to the Director of Network Planning and Engineering, Jim Wininger.
“Chris is a natural fit as the Manager of Service Assurance,” said Wininger. “I’m excited that he’s continuing to deploy his talents for our team and am looking forward to collaborating closely on ways we can continuously improve our technology, as well as our service.”
