Allen County: You’ve Got Fiber!

If you’ve been paying attention to our blog, you might have seen a few posts recently about where you can find highspeed fiber on IFN’s backbone. This blog series is on all the sites around Indiana that are fiber-ready and our mission to end the digital divide. We’ve covered Kokomo and Tipton counties, as well as Bartholomew, Johnson, and Shelby Counties.

Moving on up north, our next segment is on Allen county, with a special focus on our network in Fort Wayne, Indiana. An impressive 2850 buildings are fiber ready locations, including the following six fiber-ready industrial sites. These low-cost, high-bandwidth internet services provide fast and reliable connections for local businesses. The 430 miles of fiber are part of $28 million capital investment from IFN into the area since its inception in 2002.

“With our fiber running 4,500 route miles and counting through Indiana, we are proud to connect Hoosiers as their businesses flourish,” said IFN CEO Jim Turner. “Connectivity is an important feature that spans sectors and we are committed to providing top-quality fiber broadband to businesses across Indiana.”

The following locations in Allen are fiber-optic ready:
